Our core privacy principle is that all data collected by the app is processed and stored exclusively on your device. We do not have servers, and we do not transmit your usage data anywhere.

Information We Collect (And What We Don't)

The App is designed to be a private utility. We firmly believe in data minimization and transparency. We have structured the app to ensure it does not collect any Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Information Processed Locally on Your Device:

• Network Traffic Data: The app monitors the total bytes of data sent (upload) and received (download) through your device's network interfaces (both Mobile and Wi-Fi). This is necessary to display the real-time speed in the notification bar and floating widget.
• Per-Application Data Usage: To provide you with detailed usage statistics, the app accesses the data consumption information for each application installed on your device. This data is used to generate the graphs and lists you see within the app.
• Ping and Latency Information: The app sends small requests to Google's public servers (e.g., google.com) to measure the response time (ping/latency). No personal data is sent with these requests.

Information We Explicitly DO NOT Collect:

To be perfectly clear, we **never** collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
• Your specific location (GPS or network-based).
• The content of your network traffic, browsing history, or app usage content.
• Any unique device identifiers that could be used to track you personally.

How We Use Your Information

Since all data remains on your device, "use" refers to how the App processes this information locally to provide its features.

• To Display Real-Time Speeds: Network traffic data is used to calculate and show your current upload and download speeds in the status bar notification and the floating bubble monitor.
• To Provide Usage Statistics: Per-app data usage is aggregated and displayed in graphs and lists, helping you understand your data consumption habits and identify data-intensive applications.
• To Monitor Connection Stability: Ping results are used to give you an indication of your network's latency, which is critical for gaming and streaming.
• To Power Data Alerts: The app compares your locally stored usage data against the limits you set to trigger local notifications.

Data Storage and Security

All information collected and processed by Internet Speedometer Pro is stored in a private, sandboxed database directly on your device. This data is never uploaded to any external server and is not accessible by us or any third party. Deleting the app's data or uninstalling the app will permanently remove all stored usage history from your device.

Permissions Required

The App requires certain permissions to function correctly. We only request permissions that are essential for the app's core features:

• Usage Data Access: This is a sensitive permission required to read the data usage of other apps. It is fundamental for the "Per-App Data Usage" feature. Without it, we cannot show you which apps are consuming your data.
• Display Over Other Apps: This permission is necessary for the "Floating Bubble Monitor" to be displayed on top of other applications you are using.
• Network State & Internet Access: Required to monitor the network connection type (Wi-Fi/Mobile) and to perform the ping test.
• Foreground Service: Allows the speed monitor notification to run reliably in the background without being terminated by the operating system.

Third-Party Services

Internet Speedometer Pro does not integrate with any third-party advertising or analytics services. We do not share your data with any third parties. The only external communication is the ping test sent to Google's public servers for latency measurement, which is anonymous.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since we do not collect any Personally Identifiable Information, we are in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
